Culinary Careers

You build a career job by job. You give your career direction by having goals. Maybe you want to be an executive chef. Maybe you want to own a restaurant someday. To achieve those goals, you need to do your best work in every job along the way.

A career in the culinary field can be a dream come true. But you have to start with some basics. You have to love food. You have to want to please customers. And you have to be willing to put in long hours. Chances are, you’ll work harder than you would in other jobs.

If you think a culinary career is right for you, click through this section. If you’re not sure, you’ll find help here too. There are answers to common questions, advice on getting a job, and links to useful groups.
