C-CAP alum and Pastry Chef Stephanie Grajales, a Johnson & Wales scholarship recipient and graduate, is an active alum, constantly giving back to C-CAP through her work on the New York Alumni Board. In between managing the pastry kitchen at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Manhattan, Chef Stephanie finds time to judge at C-CAP cooking competitions, inspire our students at our awards breakfast, and organize C-CAP alumni programs throughout the year to foster a deeper sense of community.
On October 23, she lent her talents to C-CAP partner school and her alma mater, John Dewey High School, to lead a simple (and tasty) apple pie baking demonstration. The culinary class has 23 seniors who soaked in all of Chef Stephanie’s pastry making techniques and other tips and tricks she uses in the kitchen. Students, and teacher alike, will surely remember the sweet aromas, savory bites, and engaging presentation Chef Stephanie provided.
