C-CAP Philadelphia Alum Spotlight

Rahsheen Gorham graduated from A. Phillip Randolph Career Academy in 2015 and continued on to The Restaurant School at Walnut Hill, where he earned an Associate’s Degree in Pastry Arts with the help of a half-tuition scholarship from the C-CAP Cooking Competition for Scholarships. While in high school, Rahsheen completed our Job Training program and earned a placement at the well-known Federal Donuts. Four years after his internship placement, Rahsheen is still a full-time employee of Federal Donuts and is enjoying his role within the company.

Rahsheen credits C-CAP with helping him get a job at just 16 years old, and thanks the Job Training program and C-CAP Philadelphia staff for giving him the skills he needed to keep a job. Rahsheen has told us that a major lesson he’s learned in the last four years is overcoming negativity. He also said he had to learn to do things for himself and not for other people.

We are proud of how strong Rahsheen is and all he has accomplished at The Restaurant School and Federal Donuts. We often see Rahsheen giving advice to new C-CAP interns at Federal Donuts and know he’s a great mentor for all C-CAP-ers to come.
