Chris Chavez graduated from North Grand High School in 2016, where he was awarded a C-CAP Scholarship to attend Washburne Culinary Institute. Chris was always a natural in the kitchen and made the difficult decision to not attend Washburne and instead plow forward with working in the restaurant industry.
His skills and talents led him to work in many well known Chicago restaurants, including the kitchens of Chef Bill Kim and Chef Rick Bayless. He recently took a position with Sodexo and is part of the opening management team for the new Well’s Street Market Food Hall.
We can’t wait to see what Chris does next, if the last few years are any indication we can expect exciting things from him!
