Students Compete and Win Big!

In our 32nd year of the C-CAP Cooking Competition for Scholarships, 250 students competed and 122 students received higher education scholarships, valued at more than $2.2 million!

An enormous thank you to all of our exceptionally generous scholarship donors and institutional donors, and to the incredible teachers who support and nurture these students. We are so grateful for each and every one of you!


O.C. Chefs: Celebrating the Next Gen

Hi West Coast, Eater LA wants you to come celebrate the 55th anniversary of South Coast Plaza with an extraordinary evening supporting C-CAP Los Angeles this Sunday, June 5th at 6 PM. The star-chef line-up includes Michelin-starred chef Tony Esnault and celebrated C-CAP alumn Amar Santana. Tap below for tickets and event details.

C-CAP Across the Country

Ultimate Guacamole and Grocery Tour

In celebration of Cinco de Mayo, C-CAP supporter and chef Aaron Sanchez shared his secrets for the ultimate guacamole. Watch this quick tutorial so you can whip it up this summer!

Later in the month, chef Ange Braca, owner of Kampar Kitchen, and C-CAP alum and Philadelphia program coordinator Tonii Hicks toured Oregon Market to shop for ingredients to make the quintessential Malaysian Meal. Check out their adventure together!

Alumni Resources and Opportunities

  • C-CAP Seeks a Culinary Instructor: C-CAP is partnering with an organization to teach adults basic culinary skills and we need an instructor. Please contact tsteel@ccapinc.org for more information and to apply.
  • NYC-based Culinary Students & Employers: NYC will support a record 100,000 summer job opportunities in 2022 with the expansion of the Summer Youth Employment Program (as evidenced above). This serves young New Yorkers ages 14 to 24, providing them with paid work experience and an opportunity to build skills, explore potential career paths, and prepare for success in the world of work. Visit nyc.gov/hirenycyouth for more.
