Fourteen C-CAP students from across the country traveled to New Rochelle, NY, to take part in Monroe College’s Summer Bootcamp. These rising seniors took part in college-level culinary classes and got to experience dorm life on campus for a full week! Thanks to Monroe College, for being such an invaluable partner.

C-CAP D.C. Students Are Landing Jobs

Student Working

Our Summer Job Training + Internship Program is winding down, but we’re glad C-CAP interns developed real professional skills – some were asked to stay on as permanent employees!

Special thanks to the Eatwell DC Group for hosting C-CAP students, including Kiannah Green (pictured above at Grillfish DC).

C-CAP L.A. Students are Mastering Bread Baking

Job Training students have started their internships. Meet two of them: Jimmy at Berolina Bakery and Aleksis at Superba LA. We are so grateful to our C-CAP Los Angeles alumnus Rigo Salas and to Youna Karlsson for taking these two under their wing!

C-CAP N.Y. Students are Soaking Up Summer Learning

Chef James Neal joined C-CAP at John Dewey High School to lead a Summer Enrichment Program – a presentation & discussion on front-of-house responsibilities – as C-CAP students prepared an end-of-summer lunch for school faculty and staff.

Students will be wrapping up their Job Training, having interned 120 hours over the last month. Internships were at some of the best NYC food spots, including Nobu 57 and Nobu Downtown, Magnolia Bakery, ABC Cocina, FieldTrip, The Queensboro, Tacombi, Archer and Goat, Pat La Frieda, and R&D Foods.

A huge thank you to our industry partners for hiring these students for summer internships!

Bimbo Bakeries USA and the school district of Philadelphia funded an incredibly enriching four-week Job Training Program for C-CAP Philadelphia.

This 90+ hour program included lessons on resume writing, interview skills, culinary training, and baking. Forty-five guest speakers, teachers, and mentors took part and students went on 10 field trips to institutions such as the Four Seasons, Fork Restaurant, Elwood, Reading Terminal Market, and many more.

Thank you to all of our partners who made this dream program a reality!
