C-CAP Arizona Students Start Bakery Apprenticeships

C-CAP Arizona begins Summer Job Training: eight students will participate in a 5-week, full-time paid internship at Nobel Bakery in Phoenix, and will have the option to become Registered Apprentice Bakers through the program.

Noble Bread is an artisan bakery that used old-world techniques to bake naturally leavened bread for the local community and restaurants.


C-CAP Chicago Students Learn the Art of Cover Letters!

C-CAP Chicago x Kendall College at National Louis University is hosting virtual cover letter writing workshops to teach students how to craft a well-written letter that will catch the attention of employers. Job training started in earnest too.

C-CAP DC celebrated teachers who are part of our Professional Development Program by hosting an in-person barbecue and crab cookout feast –– the first and only in-person gathering for teachers this school year. It’s safe to say everyone had a blast!

The DC region is gearing up for the annual Summer Internship Program, which introduces high school culinary students to the food-service industry by providing hands-on work experience, for up to six weeks. The program continues to develop the skills students learned while in school: knife skills, sanitation, timing/speed, organization, and team-building. It also equips students with essential professional skills: communication, time management, and a good work ethic.


C-CAP LA Students: In-Person Job Training Begins

C-CAP Los Angeles starts their 2021 Job Training which included C-CAP Students:

C-CAP Philadelphia Students Prep for Jobs

C-CAP Philadelphia kicked-off job training for 10-12th grade students: two weeks of soft and culinary skill development to help students earn and sustain jobs in the hospitality industry! All students who successfully complete the program will be matched with a 150-hour paid internship in the Philadelphia region. This spring, C-CAP Philadelphia held a National College 101 Course for graduating C-CAP Students across the country, and C-CAP Philly Alum Terry Goggans presented a lesson on financial literacy. Terry now works in the corporate sector for Citizens Bank and has been teaching financial literacy to C-CAP students for more than 3 years.


C-CAP Arizona Harvest Moon Fundraiser Coming Up!

C-CAP Arizona and Chef Mark Tarbell are busy planning the annual Harvest Moon Fundraiser, slated for October 20, 2021 – look forward to a grand tasting by the best Phoenix chefs (supported by C-CAP students), handcrafted cocktails, wines, and live performances by Nate Nathan and The MacDaddy-O’s. More details to come!
