C-CAP’s 2019 Annual Benefit
Over 800 guests gathered to honor Chef Eric Ripert, chef and co-owner of the acclaimed New York restaurant Le Bernardin at C-CAP’s Annual Benefit on Tuesday, February 26, 2019. Chef Ripert received the C-CAP Honors Award, an award granted to individuals within the culinary industry for exceptional leadership and achievements.

Guests enjoyed fabulous tastings prepared by over 30 of New York City’s finest chefs, many of whom are Michelin-starred and highly rated on the Zagat Survey. Participating chefs included Chef Chair and C-CAP Board Co-chair, Marcus Samuelsson along with C-CAP Board member Aaron Bludorn, and Philippe Bertineau, Abram Bissell, Daniel Boulud, Markus Glocker, Alfred Portale, and Costas Spiliadis and C-CAP alumni Yvan Lemoine and Betty Peña to name a few. Approximately 75 talented and eager C-CAP students and alumni assisted the chefs. The festivities also included an auction with special culinary, culture, and travel packages.

Held at Pier Sixty, Chelsea Piers in New York, this event raised nearly $1 million to support C-CAP’s career readiness programs for underserved youth.
